Dance does not necessarily reduce falls even if it can reduce some of the risk factors for falls – review of evidence from the Older People and Frailty Policy Research Unit
Dawn has two PhD students working with her at Glasgow Caledonian University, looking at developing games for health that can be ‘played’ by older people on a computer at home. One is considering the best interface for physiotherapists to be able to monitor and progress the exercise by receiving information on the games useage and the other is looking at the ‘top-up’ effect the games could have on adherence to the programme and on strength and balance outcomes.
