Postural Stability Instructor
Your role:
We are looking for someone to co-ordinate and deliver an evidenced based falls management exercise programme across Leicester City, working with older people who are at a risk of falls or need to improve mobility. The focus of these sessions will be to reduce risk of falls, increase confidence of attendees with everyday tasks and to improve their mobility and general wellbeing.
You will devise, coordinate and deliver a programme of falls prevention sessions, via group interventions in a variety of settings across the city, whilst providing clinical advice to clients, partners and other professionals.
You will manage a casework of clients and monitor their progress to ensure it is managed effectively, whilst developing excellent partnerships with local organisations and Healthcare professionals to promote the falls prevention service.
What you will need:
- You will need to be a Qualified Level 4 Postural Stability Instructor, with a 1st Aid Certificate, or willing to train and gain the 1st Aid Certificate, along with knowledge of administrative procedures and data entry.
- You will be experienced in supporting individuals to change their behavior and helping them to facilitate these changes and have experience of delivering exercise sessions within the community.
- You will have experience and understanding of specific health and wellbeing issues affecting elderly or vulnerable adults.

Additional information:
This is a full time one-year fixed term opportunity, with occasional Saturday and evening work when required. We will also consider requests for part time working and job share.
