We hope you will get involved with an exciting opportunity to be a part of a research programme, funded by the Medical Research Council, led by Manchester University. The research focuses on the delivery of FaME and which characteristics of programmes achieve maximum levels of sustained activity in older adults. The study is purely recruiting PSIs and is asking your views on what characteristics lead to the most successful classes and what lead to unsuccessful classes. EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT CURRENTLY DELIVERING CLASSES PLEASE COMPLETE THE FIRST PART OF THE QUESIONNAIRE ๐
The first part of the study involves completing a questionnaire online. This should take 20-30 minutes. At the end of the questionnaire you will be asked if you are willing to take part in a telephone interview. Not all people agreeing to take part in this telephone interview will be selected, but they need to know if you are willing and give contact details.
Later Life Training are trying to get in contact with ALL PSIs qualified over the 10 years – a hard job as many of you have moved several times! So you may receive an email and a paper copy of the questionnaire, but our aim is to ensure as many PSIs as possible complete the questionnaire so that the researchers get a proper representative view.
So we need your help! If you know of a PSI out there who has not been in contact with LLT for some time or who might be willing to take part, get them to come online and do the survey ๐
You may receive information on this study more than once, please only complete the survey once ๐
The link to the survey gives further information, and once you have read the information you can complete the survey online.
Dr Helen Hawley-Hague will be presenting some of the results of this at the LLT Conference in September!.
Thanks for your help in keeping LLT embedded in and leading in research evidence gathering.
