Dance does not necessarily reduce falls even if it can reduce some of the risk factors for falls – review of evidence from the Older People and Frailty Policy Research Unit
This national, multi-agency programme, supported by the Practice Development Unit, aimed to raise the profile of falls and fracture prevention, and support the development of related services in Scotland. The programme focused on older people living in the community. The Programme Manager (Ann Murray) worked in partnership with Falls Leads from each Community Health (and Care) Partnership and NHS Board Rehabilitation Co-ordinators during the two year programme.
